Zippy started at age 5 , this is his first Parade. Of course
you can't see the pride that is inside of Grandpa can you. I think that anyone that wants to clown should have the opportunity
to try. Like these 5th and 6th graders from our children's church.
They wanted an opportunity to try and some found out that clowning was not for them. After only 8 nights of practice we did
put on a good show with skit's and juggling and some jokes. If only one comes back to clowning some day it will be worth all
the time and effort. Doing skit's and programs seems to bring the most joy for me. Hearing the laughter and giggles seems to drive our train. It puts some kind of energy in side that just lets you do things
that at my age most are not even thinking about. Some of the most fun times are when we try to do little things to get one another
to laugh or miss a line. It is like iron sharpens iron because we have become better at filling in lines and add-libbing. The best part
is we have fun doing our part and the audience thinks its part of the act and they laugh all the more. Just recently Goober and I
were doing a church picnic and the first skit called for me to fall down and when I did, not only did my hat come off but so did my
wig which got a lot of laughs. So I just plopped my wig back on and my hat also and jumped up and chased goober off the stage.
